From guesswork to a plan in 3 steps

The problem isn't a lack of plants. It's matching the plant to the spot. Sprigwise does the matching.

STEP 1

Snap your yard

Upload a photo. Our light analyzer estimates how much sun the spot really gets.

STEP 2

Match your climate

Your ZIP maps to a USDA hardiness zone, soil profile, and regional climate.

STEP 3

Get plants that thrive

A ranked shortlist with match scores, care guides, and where to buy.

Why Sprigwise beats a plant tag

Sunlight glowing through fresh green leaves against a shaded garden background
Light estimate from your photoReads brightness & greenery to estimate sun. You confirm it in one tap.
Two hands cupping loose brown garden soil around a young seedling
Site-specificZone, soil, drainage, and water habits, not generic advice.
A calm golden retriever lying on the grass in a planted back garden
Pet-toxicity flagsFlags plants commonly listed as toxic to cats & dogs. Always confirm with the ASPCA.
A large established rose covered in pink blooms spilling over the brick wall of a front garden
Built to be pickyWe'd rather show 5 plants that thrive than 50 that might die. Survival tracking sharpens it.

Common questions

The things folks ask before they trust us with their yard.

Does it work in my zone?Zones 3–11, anywhere in the US. Your ZIP pins it down.
Why should I trust the match? We show a relative fit score based on your sun, soil and zone, with a breakdown of those factors. A fit score is not a measured chance of survival. Confirm local conditions before buying.
What's free and what's $6/month?The matcher is free forever. Premium ranks your full list, adds care guides, and learns from what lives and dies in your yard. Annual is billed once a year and renews until you cancel. Subscribers can manage or cancel billing any time from the link in the footer or under the Premium card.
Do I need an account? The matcher and My Garden work without an account, and your yard saves on this device. An optional account lets you sync your garden across devices. Tap Back up my yard in My Garden to save a local backup you can restore on another device.
Does it work offline?Yes. Install it like an app and it keeps working in your backyard, no signal needed.
Who built this?A veteran in Port Wentworth, Georgia who got tired of guessing at the nursery.
How do I reach a human?Email support@sprigwise.com . A real person replies within 1–2 business days.

Our story

Sprigwise started in a Port Wentworth, Georgia backyard, but really it started earlier. Our founder grew up around Caribbean families where a yard wasn't decoration, it fed people: peppers, herbs, greens, planted by folks who never guessed, because the knowledge was passed down. Then came six years running Army logistics, where plans live on real numbers, not wishes. Sprigwise is both at once: a yard that has to work, and math that won't lie to you. So we explain the match. No planting guarantees.

Grandma's Yard vs. the Algorithm

Every week we take one piece of passed-down planting wisdom and run it through our matcher. Sometimes grandma wins. Sometimes the math does. Usually they agree more than you'd think. First installment soon.
